Here at Rustufarion we are devoted to raising beautiful, healthy, affectionate puppies and making them available to responsible dog owners. As breeders we are constantly striving to produce the best quality Pulis & Lagotti in soundness, type and temperament. We are particularly proud of the proven versatility of our Pulis who have performed at the highest levels in a variety of disciplines, including Show, Obedience, Agility, Flyball and Herding. However, first and foremost, our dogs are loyal and loving companions.
Puli and Lagotto puppies are very similar as puppies. When newborn are fat solid lumps with a coat that looks and feels like velvet, the coat continues to grow and by the time puppies are eight weeks old they have an adorable fluffy coat. All Puli puppies at Rustufarion have been black, and our Lagotti have had a range of colours including solid brown, roan, white and orange with a variety of markings and patterns. Our puppies are lovingly raised in our home for the first 4 to 5 weeks until they are up on their feet, and then move outdoors to begin adventuring and exploring under our supervision. Our dogs are socialised on our farm with people and other animals from an early age and, naturally, receive daily attention.

Puppies from Rustufarion are registered with Dogs NSW and those going to pet homes are registered on the limited register. By the time our puppies leave for their new homes they have been thoroughly checked by our veterinarian, micro-chipped, vaccinated and wormed regularly. You will also receive a puppy pack with loads of information for you. We utilise the most current veterinary testing and research to ensure our puppies are happy and healthy.
We strongly suggest that if you are interested in having a Puli or Lagotto as a companion, that before making a final decision, you make every effort to meet a range of adult. Visitors are welcome to come and visit our property, or meet up with us at a show. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about our dogs and the breed, particularly if you have not owned one before.

Before any puppy is sold, we prefer that prospective owners take the time to come and visit our gang wherever possible. This means you can get to know the temperament of our dogs and this gives us an idea of the type of puppy that will best suit you. We can also discuss grooming requirements and other needs at this time.
Once you have made a visit and agree that a Puli or Lagotto is a suitable choice of companion, we will place you on our waiting list. Once a litter has been born we will contact prospective owners and at that point discuss if the timing is appropriate and if so make further arrangements.
We have lots of information about the breed and our dogs on our website, so please have a look around! If you need to know more, send us an e-mail!
Adults
Sometimes an adult Puli or Lagotto may become available for adoption. TheseĀ can range in age from 1 year old puppies to mature adults. Typically these are retired show dogs who are looking for loving homes to provide them with a happy and comfortable life in retirement, or less commonly are one of our dogs who have returned to us due to changes in their owners circumstances. An adult may be an excellent option if the challenges of 'puppyhood' are not well suited to you, your home or your family. If you are interested in adopting an older dog, please contact us to discuss availability.

Puli Rescue
Fortunately not many Pulis ever require rescue from pounds or animal shelters. However, because we do not have a breed club in Australia to help facilitate breed rescues at this time, we are more than willing to help where we can. In the event that you do come across a Puli in need of rescue, please contact us as we may be able to offer assistance or put you in contact with our Puli friends throughout Australia.
